The SFHJA was initially established in 1977 to serve the local show circuit and remains devoted to promoting the development of equestrians and equines in the Hunters, Jumpers, Equitation and Pony divisions.

Dedicated to the equestrian community, the SFHJA has been recognizing riders at both the A and B level circuits for over 40 years with unique and top quality awards honoring true champions in the Southern California Region, home to some of the top National champions in the sport.
